Bertha Lake, Waterton Lakes National Park

0

Bertha falls is just like any other falls, I would say. The trail to Bertha Falls is easy, minimal effort is needed, it takes about 45minutes one way.

However, Bertha Lake is stunning! Continue with the trail after Bertha Falls, It might be harder, with steeper trails and a lot of switchbacks, but it is definitely worth while. It takes about 4-5hours roundtrip. Going up is the toughest part, but coming down is of course a lot faster.

Always be aware of bears while hiking in Waterton, they are not harmful as long as you do not threaten them, and I have never used a bear spray, just back your way up a few steps when u see one till they leave the vicinity.
